Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have been reacting to a claim from Portugal about Renato Sanches.
The midfielder has been strongly linked with a loan move to Molineux since last night.
The star, who won Ligue 1 last season with Lille, has turned things around in his career in recent times.
He really struggled on loan at Swansea City a few years ago.
But he’s rediscovered his mojo somewhat in France.
And earlier this summer he dazzled at Euro 2020, before Portugal’s elimination at the hands of Belgium in the last 16.
His cameo against Hungary was particularly impressive.
But it seems Sanches to Wolves will not be happening, with Sky Sports reporting earlier that the clubs have failed to reach an agreement.
Mais Futebol have claimed that Wolves have walked away from a deal because Lille were demanding over £26 million on the option to buy clause.
That is a big claim, and one that has not gone down at all well with fans on social media.
The fact of the matter is, Sanches is now 24 and has got his career back on track.
He is a player who would totally bring different qualities to the likes of Ruben Neves, Leander Dendoncker and Joao Moutinho.
The Wolves midfield currently lacks mobility, and Sanches would absolutely bring that, as well as technical quality.
He is easily worth more than £26 million.

Is this a joke???

If there’s any truth in this it’s beyond laughable. Nothing against Silva but if they were happy to pay 35m for him then this should be a no brainer. #wwfc https://t.co/smOoZ94FcH

This is this true heads should roll. This is less than what we paid for Silva. For a player who would instantly make us much stronger. #wwfc https://t.co/yxBGaS7f1R

Nah surely not. About £26m for Sanches and we can’t afford that??? Let alone it was an option https://t.co/Eeh3E6wIGx
