Ligue 1 club Troyes are reportedly hopeful of signing Yerson Mosquera on loan from Wolves.

The centre-back is currently struggling to get minutes for the Wanderers first-team, with Nathan Collins and Maximilian Kilman firmly established in the backline.

Mosquera, 21, has yet to get any minutes in 2022/23.

Manager Bruno Lage recently admitted that he had been ‘unfair’ with Mosquera.

The admission came months after Lage had suggested the player had been itching to have some involvement after recovering from his hamstring injury.

Mosquera missed around five months of last season after suffering a high-grade hamstring injury just 10 minutes into his competitive debut.

After recovering, he was mainly with the U23s and did not get any minutes for the first-team.

It was reported this morning that Mosquera had been set to leave Molineux on a temporary basis.

And now we have a club looking to land him, with RMC Sport reporting (liveblog, 01/09, 12:04pm) Ligue 1 outfit Troyes are interested.

Troyes finished 15th last season, which was a successful campaign for them after gaining promotion to the top-flight in 2021.

The two clubs are said to be in talks about a potential deal.

Yerson Mosquera needs loan and Troyes could be a good move

Hopefully Mosquera will see this move come to fruition, as he needs to be playing regularly this season.

His injury setback last season was hugely frustrating, and it would do him no good at all to stay at Molineux and sit on the bench.

Mosquera needs regular game time after he missed so much of last season.

Troyes could be a great move for him, and he could test himself against some very dangerous attackers in a top five league.

The move may well hinge on Wolves’ ability to sign Craig Dawson or Jason Denayer, with Willy Boly having now been confirmed as a new Nottingham Forest player.
