Wolves could be forced to sell Pedro Neto in the summer according to the opinion of journalist Tim Spiers, who believes the winger could exit for a price in the region of £60m
Wolves managed to weather the storm in the absence of Pedro Neto earlier in the season, as Gary O’Neil continues to squeeze the best out of the 23-year-old forward at Molineux.
The Portugal international has two goals and eight assists in only 14 Premier League appearances this campaign, with his moments of individual brilliance on the right flank for the Old Gold consistently celebrated.
Speaking to the Telegraph back in October, the former Lazio forward committed his near future to Wolves by assuring fans that he wouldn’t be looking to leave in the January window, amid rumoured interest from Arsenal.
Despite giving the Midlands club his word to at least see out the rest of 2023/24 calendar, journalist Tim Spiers believes that the time will soon come for Molineux to bid farewell to their star man.
What Tim Spiers said about the future of Pedro Neto at Wolves
Speaking to fellow journalist Nathan Judah on episode 326 of the E&S Wolves Podcast, Spiers revealed the price tag that he thinks Neto could exit for and shared his stance on the winger’s future in the Midlands.
“His performances are incredible, he loves Wolves he loves playing for them, he loves the supporters, he’s grateful for what the club has given him, but it does feel like it’s coming to that position.”
“So with Wolves and their financial position, they’re going to have to sell someone this summer if they want to generate funds into the squad to get the players that Gary O’Neil wants and the most obvious candidate is Pedro Neto. In terms of his valuation I mean you’re looking at at least north of £60m for me.”

Spiers’ opinions were shared by Judah, who even insisted that the price could rise to in the region of £70m, considering the climate of the market in the Premier League over previous transfer windows.
The benefits that could come from selling Pedro Neto
Selling star players is never something that a club would be pleased to do, however, O’Neil saw first-hand the benefits of doing so, as the departure of Matheus Nunes generated the cash needed to add reinforcements for depth.
Neto is claimed to be in demand, with both Arsenal and now Tottenham Hotspur said to be eyeing the 23-year-old, who is finally hitting his stride at Molineux after numerous injury complaints.
For the future of O’Neil’s project, staging a bidding war for a talent as exciting as Neto could be pivotal to restoring a sense of progression back to the club, filling the cracks of Wolves’ financial woes and restrictions on spending.
For now, the Midlands outfit will enjoy watching their intricate forward thrive, as only time can tell what the future will hold.
