It has been reported tonight that three Premier League clubs are currently interested in signing Che Adams – a player Wolves have been linked with recently.
Gary O’Neil is looking to land Wolves a new striker this January, having already sanctioned the departures of Sasa Kalajdzic and Fabio Silva.
Kalajdzic has returned to the Bundesliga, signing for Eintracht Frankfurt, while Fabio Silva has joined Rangers in a bid to find form and raise his market value ahead of the summer.
Wolves have been linked with a few players to come in, including Hugo Ekitike and Danny Ings.
Wolves have also been mentioned previously as a possible suitor for Che Adams, who was the subject of an update on Sky Sports News tonight…
PL trio interested in Southampton striker and Wolves target Che Adams
This evening, Sky Sports News reporter Rob Dorsett delivered an update on Che Adams.
He said: “Three separate Premier League clubs interested in signing him. Southampton are prepared to potentially let him go. Even though he’s playing for them – I think he’s scored four goals in his last seven games – it’s the last chance for them to get some money for him, because he’s out of contract in the summer.
“It will be interesting to see whether Che Adams is still a Southampton player in a couple of weeks’ time. Because he’s keen on getting back into the Premier League.
This term, Adams has been fairly involved for the Saints in their bid to gain promotion back to the Premier League.
He has made 24 appearances for the club for a total of 1166 minutes.
Could Wolves be one of the unnamed clubs?

So there are currently a few teams looking into signing Adams this month, knowing that he has experience of playing in the Premier League.
It would make sense if Wolves were one of these teams, because Adams was a player the club tried to sign on deadline day last summer, only for the Saints to block a move late on.
In December, it was reported that Woles could possibly look to reignite their interest in the player.
Matt Hobbs has put out a statement tonight outlining the club’s position regarding transfers and it’s clear there will be no silly spending this month.
The club are still thinking about Profit and Sustainability rules and so, it would make total sense for the club to move for a player like Adams, since he has just six months left on his contract.
