‘This would be unreal’… Wolves fans excited after hearing who could be transferring to Molineux

Wolves are in the market for new forwards – and today there has been a link to a new player.

Vitor Pereira has already lost Matheus Cunha and Pablo Sarabia, and it’s possible Hwang Hee-chan and Goncalo Guedes could also be departing this month.

Carlos Forbs will also not be signed permanently.

Jorgen Strand Larsen needs some support for next season and ideally, Pereira will not persist using Marshall Munetsi in the right number 10 position.

Earlier today, it was suggested Wolves are considering making an offer for Nice striker Evann Guessand.

It was claimed the 23-year-old could set Wolves back around £25 million this summer, which would be a lot to pay.

On social media though, fans are excited by the link.

Guessand finished the 2024/25 campaign with 23 goal contributions in total.

It was a great season for the Ivorian, who actually tabled nine assists, suggesting him as perhaps being more creative than Cunha.

Wolves are bound to be stung by losing Cunha, because he was capable of providing moments of magic.

But Wolves on social media feel very good about the link to Guessand.

@1Marcusfc said: “Baller.”

Wolves scouring the French market again

It is little surprise to see that Wolves are going after another player who’s currently shining in the French top-flight.

Wolves signed Emmanuel Agbadou and Munetsi earlier this year, both from Reims, and the duo made big contributions to Pereira’s safety mission – especially Agbadou.

Both arrived for around £16 million, and have proven great value for money.

So we will see if Wanderers decided to push ahead with a move for Guessand, who of course already knows Agbadou quite well from the Ivory Coast national team.

Agbadou supposedly helped convince Munetsi to come to Molineux, so hopefully he can play agent once again and sell the Wolves project to Guessand.
