For a lot of the season, Pedro Neto has been the most talked about Wolves player, and someone many expect to leave – but there is another player at Molineux who is currently attracting even more attention.
Neto has been sensational this term, scoring three goals and making 11 assists in 23 appearances across all competitions.
But the Portuguese has missed a fair chunk of the season, suffering two fairly serious hamstring injuries. He is currently still recovering from his latest and is hoping to play again before the season is out.
Neto’s injury record is something that could very well come into play this summer, as other clubs come forth to try and sign him.
Wolves are open to selling, and it has been suggested the club value him at around £80 million. However, this valuation could prove problematic – Manchester City are already thought to have reservations about it.
Amid concerns about Neto’s injury, there is one player at Wolves who has now emerged as the most coveted star…
Rayan Ait-Nouri has the most interest of any Wolves player right now, amid Pedro Neto injury concerns

With Neto having been sidelined since March, and Hwang Hee-chan also having been out injured, Rayan Ait-Nouri has really stepped up.
The Algeria international has enjoyed playing a more advanced role, a move pundit Paul Merson recently described as a ‘masterstroke’.
Ait-Nouri’s performances have been nothing short of exhilarating. The youngster’s footwork is amazing to watch, and he’s also improved a lot defensively, as well as become much fitter.
Ait-Nouri has the potential to be very special, and is probably the Wolves player with the next highest ceiling after Neto.
But at the moment, it is he who is attracting the most attention out of all the Wolves players.
Journalist Johnny Phillips told Talking Wolves: “If clubs aren’t going to spend money on him then where do Wolves get money from? I think Ait-Nouri is the one who is attracting the most interest. He’s really, really well thought of by a lot of clubs.
“If a big money offer comes in for him, then that would be the obvious place to look to generate income.”
Wolves’ resolve over Ait-Nouri could be firmly tested
It is starting to feel as though Wolves could actually be in danger of losing Ait-Nouri this summer.
The 22-year-old has been absolutely immense all season, and we are now starting to get reports of interest from big clubs.
Johnny Phillips knows the score when it comes to Wolves and if he says Ait-Nouri is attracting the most interest at the moment, then there is reason for some concern.
Neto should be the big-name player sold this summer if it has to be that way, and the club should be looking to keep Ait-Nouri for at least one more season, so that his market value can increase even further.
