The three positions Wolves will now prioritise amid fresh Jhon Arias and Marc Pubill transfer updates

It is set to be a busy week for Wolves, with there finally being some incoming transfer activity to speak of.

Fans have been frustrated recently, after Wolves failed to follow up on Fer Lopez, who signed over a month ago.

Vitor Pereira has expressed his concern about Wolves’ summer, although he has also acknowledged the difficulty of the market and that hard work is being done behind the scenes.

Thankfully, this is now shaping up to be a busier week for Wolves.

Jhon Arias was seen at an airport yesterday ahead of his move to Wolves, and he’ll become the club’s second addition.

It was also claimed a Wolves agreement for Marc Pubill is close.

This morning, a report has emerged regarding Wolves’ current plans with updates offered on both Arias and Pubill.

Wolves have just under a month to go until the opening Premier League fixture with Manchester City.

It is a daunting prospect, and it is therefore essential that Wolves do some good business in the lead up to that match.

The Telegraph have published an interesting piece on Wolves’ current plans.

And there is word of the positions Wolves are focusing on, with a double deal for Arias and Pubill in the pipeline.

It is stated that Wolves are set to prioritise a left wing-back, central midfielder and another forward after deals for Arias and Pubill.

Interestingly, it is stated Arias and Pubill could cost a combined £28 million.

With previous reports indicating a £19 million deal was struck with Fluminense for Arias, then it seems Pubill could be signed for a fee in the region of £9 million.

Wolves are hoping to wrap the deal up for Pubill later this week.

Wolves spring into life in the transfer market

Ideally Wolves will get the deals for Arias and Pubill over the line as quickly as possible.

We know Arias is signing, with Fluminense already confirming the deal, and there appears to be confidence that Pubill will follow.

Once they are both in, Wolves must keep their foot on the gas, and it sounds like there is a desire to sign at least three new players.

But that is probably not accounting for players leaving.

Obviously there has been speculation about the futures of Jose Sa and Sam Johnstone, so a new goalkeeper perhaps cannot be ruled out before the window closes.
