The January window has arrived and Wolves will be expecting the vultures to circle around players unhappy at the relegation-bound club.
One such case is Marshall Munetsi, who looks more and more likely to leave after just 12 months at Molineux.
Munetsi was angry to miss out on AFCON, and that won’t help.
The relationship with Wolves looks to have deteriorated since Vitor Pereira’s departure, with Rob Edwards putting far less trust in the Zimbabwe international.
If a winter exit is on the cards, he will have plenty of suitors.
What do you make of Marshall Munetsi’s words against the Zimbabwean FA?
Marshall Munetsi on the shortlist of three Ligue 1 sides
Two weeks ago, reports emerged linking Munetsi away from Wolves, but no concrete interest was stated.
That appears to have changed over the Christmas period, with three teams in France monitoring him for January.
A report from FootMercato explains: “According to our information, a club looking for experience is currently knocking on his door, as Paris FC is reportedly very interested in acquiring the former Reims player.”
A return to France could make sense for Munetsi, having done well in Ligue 1 for over five years before Wolves swooped in last January. But Paris won’t have it easy.

The report continues: “Munetsi is reportedly considered by coach Stéphane Gili as the ideal addition to this area of the pitch for the second half of the season. However, caution is advised, as, according to our sources, several clubs are ready to compete with the Parisians, including FC Nantes and OGC Nice.”
Paris, Nantes and Nice are all sniffing around, and it’s highly likely that more clubs take notice if it becomes clear that a departure is imminent.
Wolves need to line up a midfield replacement
If the decision is made to part ways with Munetsi, there better be a plan in place.
Wolves are already short-staffed in the middle of the park, but losing the box-to-box midfielder would leave a gaping hole.
It should also be noted that Joao Gomes and Andre could leave Wolves in January. All three won’t go, but if even one does then signing a midfielder becomes priority number one.

The likes of Strand Larsen, Andre, Agbadou and Joao Gomes have all been linked with exits…
The window is almost open, so all these parts will start to move in due course and we should get a clearer idea of who is staying and who is moving on.
