Fabio Silva remains a Wolves player as the club stick to their asking price, and there have been a couple more developments today regarding the striker.
Silva was the subject of three rejected bids from Borussia Dortmund.
Dortmund’s third bid for Silva was worth around £17 million, and it had been expected they would return with another offer.
But Dortmund have now backed away from Silva, after Wolves stood firm over their asking price, which is thought to be £21.5 million plus add-ons.
But Dortmund’s decision may now open the door for another club.
AS Roma have presented a contract offer to Fabio Silva

Dortmund have been at the forefront of the Silva saga in recent days.
But AS Roma have also been linked with Silva recently and now they appear to be stepping up their pursuit.
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Silva has now received a five-year contract offer from AS Roma, just as he did from Dortmund.
But crucially, there is not yet any agreement between Wolves and the Italian club.
Roma are said to be Silva’s preferred destination now, so we will see if his stance will encourage Wolves to slightly lower their asking price in order to get him off the books.
Why Fabio Silva rejected RB Leipzig
Another club that have been interested in Silva are RB Leipzig.
Earlier in the window it was suggested that the Bundesliga side were eyeing Silva as a potential successor to Benjamin Sesko, who has just joined Manchester United.
But Tavolieri says the striker, who Wolves signed for £35 million (BBC Sport), did not want this move – because they cannot offer any European football in 2025/26.
So Leipzig are now set to sign Romulo instead.
Roma, of course, are participating in the UEFA Europa League in 2025/26, meaning Silva – who scored 10 goals on loan at Las Palmas last season – would get to showcase himself on a bigger stage.
