Wolves are pushing hard to secure Kevin Danso’s signature as the Old Gold aim to bolster their defence.
Danso has been on Wolves’ radar for some time, being a profile that could strengthen where the Midlands club need it most.
Vitor Pereira has wanted another centre-back since the arrival of Emmanuel Agbadou, with a similar route eyed to recruit the Wolves manager’s next signing.
With six days of the market remaining, attention has returned to Danso, whose future at RC Lens is uncertain amid transfer interest.

How much Wolves would have to pay for Kevin Danso
As time ticks down in the January window, pressure is on Wolves’ hierarchy to deliver a possibly season-defining signing.
Matt Hobbs promised to support Pereira and that’s just what the club are doing, as Wolves bid £16m for Danso.
Unfortunately for the Old Gold, RC Lens rejected Wolves’ bid, with interesting heating up from several clubs.
Rennes want to sign Danso which has thrown another spanner in the works for the Old Gold however, they’ve been handed a clear route to sign the player.
According to L’Equipe, who reported Rennes’ interest in the defender, Lens have a ‘target’ price for Danso’s sale.
Lens ‘would like to reach’ a price of €25m in order to consider selling the Austrian, marginally higher than the reported €22m improved bid Wolves offered for Danso.
Pulling off Danso transfer will not be easy for Wolves
Wolves showed desire to sign the 26-year-old by tabling a bid late in the transfer window however, it’s now looking like it’ll be a trialling deal to pull off.
When the Old Gold submitted their first bid, it was claimed that the club were hopeful of securing Danso’s signature, which doesn’t appear to be the case.
