Sasa Kalajdzic has been speaking about his exit from Wolves – and revealed the moment he knew he needed to leave the club.
The striker is now back in the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt, with the German club agreeing a loan until the end of the season. Apparently, they have waited ‘years’ to sign a player like him.
They don’t have an option to buy, but discussions will surely be had at the end of his stint. Although Kalajdzic reportedly wants another crack at the Premier League.
Kalajdzic has departed following a lack of game time at Wolves, with manager Gary O’Neil much preferring the likes of Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-chan up top.
Kalajdzic played just 157 minutes in the Premier League, which was a surprisingly low amount, despite him returning from a serious knee injury at the start of the campaign.
Kalajdzic has now shared the moment he realised he needed to leave the club…
Sasa Kalajdzic shares he knew after the West Ham defeat he needed to leave Wolves

Kalajdzic held a press conference following his move to Eintracht, and his comments have been relayed by various German publications, including Fuldaer Zeitung.
Kalajdzic expressed his happiness at joining the club and has admitted the transition has been very smooth for him. He has been made to feel welcome, and is looking forward to getting started.
The 26-year-old will now be looking to get things back on track after a bit of a frustrating time at Wolves.
Despite not playing much at Molineux, Kalajdzic doesn’t hold anything against O’Neil and recognises he preferred other players to someone who’d just come back from a serious knee injury.
Speaking about his exit, Kalajdzic also suggested the moment he realised that he really needed to move. Wolves were 2-0 down at West Ham United at half-time, and O’Neil did not turn to him in the second-half. Fuldaer Zeitung quote Kalajdzic as saying: “I have to do something else.”
Frustrated Kalajdzic can now kick on
It was a surprise to see Kalajdzic feature so little throughout November and December.
He had hit late winners against Everton and Bournemouth earlier in the season, suggesting he had something to offer.
But O’Neil felt reluctant to use him, for one reason or another. Him not getting on at West Ham did kind of feel like a ‘writing’s on the wall’ kind of moment.
He had to leave on loan in the end, because a player of his quality and uniqueness cannot be sitting on the bench, especially with an international tournament coming up.
Hopefully, Wolves can now replace the Austrian, with Che Adams seemingly the most likely target for the club this month.
