The definitive update from Jorgen Strand Larsen’s agent that Wolves fans everywhere will welcome

Deadline has not gone as most Wolves fans had hoped.

Many woke up today hoping that Wolves would be signing two or three players before the deadline.

Tolu Arokodare has been confirmed as a new signing for Wolves.

But it’s been reported that is now it in terms of incoming activity at Molineux.

Wolves’ squad is unquestionably much weaker than it was compared to last season, and those in high-up positions at the club will now be facing some strong criticism.

But at least Jorgen Strand Larsen will definitely be staying at the club.

At the start of the day, it was claimed that Chelsea had enquired about Strand Larsen.

But Wolves told Strand Larsen that he wouldn’t be leaving today, a decision the Norwegian accepted.

Yoane Wissa’s imminent move to Newcastle then further pointed to Strand Larsen staying.

But then, some Newcastle fans wondered if a development with William Osula might have meant Newcastle came back in for Strand Larsen.

Striker Osula is on the verge of completing a £30 million move to Eintracht Frankfurt.

But now, the speculation can end once and for all, because Strand Larsen’s agent has confirmed to VG that he will be going nowhere.

The agent is not quoted by the publication, but they say he ‘confirms this to VG. He does not want to comment further on the case’.

Newcastle are also claimed to have been willing to pay over £60 million for the Norwegian, but Wolves stood their ground and were totally unwilling to negotiate.

And interestingly, journalist Craig Hope spoke of the possibility of Newcastle reigniting their interest at a later date.

He said on X: “One to revisit? I’d be surprised. The window for these deals to happen is often fleeting, which is why we see some players take the action they do.”

One can only hope that Strand Larsen, who had wanted the move, can now refocus and give his all for Wanderers.

But Strand Larsen has been a great professional over the past few weeks, so hopefully it won’t take him too long to get into his goalscoring stride.
