Wolves have a lot of talented players on the books at the moment.
Wanderers may be languishing at the wrong end of the Premier League table and are still without a win, but there is a feeling that this squad is a strong one on paper.
That is why there is frustration right now at Molineux. Many fans feel Gary O’Neil should be getting a lot more out of the current crop.
In the summer, Wolves sold two big hitters in the form of Max Kilman and Pedro Neto, and the summer before saw Ruben Neves and Matheus Nunes both depart for big money.
It is very possible that Wanderers could again look to make some big sales next summer, especially if the club get relegated.
And one man who looks like he may be on his way regardless of the fate of the club, is Joao Gomes.
Joao Gomes already attracting attention as Wolves continue to struggle

Gomes was probably Wolves’ best player against Crystal Palace last weekend.
This followed a bright couple of showings against Manchester City and Brighton, and that was refreshing to see because Gomes had not started the season particularly well.
Gomes arrived at Wolves in January 2023, and has proven to be great business.
He signed for just £15 million from Flamengo, and the star has become very well known for his terrific ball-winning ability.
But there is just a feeling that Gomes might not be at Molineux for too much longer.
The Telegraph report that Gomes is already being eyed by several clubs across Europe, and also some sides from ‘further afield’.
Gomes likely to leave Wolves in 2025
Everybody knows the way in which Wolves operate in the transfer market these days, and it is very possible we could be seeing one or two more big sales next summer.
Rayan Ait-Nouri will surely be in the gossip columns quite a lot heading into next summer.
But Gomes is definitely someone whose time at the end club could come to an end next year.

There were already suggestions that clubs were looking at Gomes in the last window, following the Brazilian’s first full season in England. Manchester United were linked with Gomes, as were the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool.
He has developed so well at Wolves and there are bound to be clubs sniffing around him in the next summer window.
Even if Wolves stay up, £30,000-a-week dynamo Gomes feels like a player who is destined to leave given his quality and suitability to the English game.
