Steve Bull has talked up one Wolves player ahead of the 2025/26 season, feeling he can really build on what he did last term.
Currently, the feeling about the season ahead is quite mixed.
Some have a lot of faith in Vitor Pereira to work his magic, as he did after coming in midway through last season.
But others are concerned about the campaign, given how Wolves’ summer has gone so far.
Fer Lopez and Jhon Arias are the only signings so far, with confirmation of Arias’ move set to arrive very soon. Indeed, Fluminense have already confirmed Arias’ transfer, so it’s only a matter of time before Wolves do.
But key players have departed. The losses of Matheus Cunha, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Pablo Sarabia could especially sting.
But Steve Bull isn’t too worried just yet – and has a lot of faith in Jorgen Strand Larsen in particular.

Steve Bull delivers confident Jorgen Strand Larsen prediction after first season success for Wolves

Strand Larsen scored 14 goals in his debut Premier League season for Wolves.
No player making their debut in a Premier League season has ever reached that tally, indicating just what a great addition to the team he was.
Strand Larsen has now lost three key teammates in Cunha, Ait-Nouri and Sarabia, so it is going to be very interesting to see how he gets on this time around and what the supply to him will be like.
But for Molineux legend Bull, the Norwegian will be even better than he was last term.
He said in his latest E&S column: “Jorgen Strand Larsen will be bigger and stronger for Wolves than last season, and I think he’ll get more goals too.
“It’s brilliant that Wolves triggered his permanent signing earlier in the window. He had half a season where he was trying to pick up the pace of the Premier League.
“He eventually got up to speed towards the end of the season and he proved that by scoring the goals that he scored.
“In the end he finished with 14 goals but I think he’ll be even better with a pre-season under his belt and a fresh start in a Wolves side that he has been bedded into over the last six to eight months.”
Strand Larsen is now one of Wolves’ most important players
Wolves fans will hope Bull’s prediction about Strand Larsen rings true.
He is now essential for Wolves following the departure of Cunha, and it is vital that he gets good support in 2025/26.
The £23 million signing (E&S) has shown he can carry out several functions of striker really well, but most importantly of all he knows where the back of the net is.
He also holds the ball up very well. Wolves have been working on sending the ball long to Strand Larsen, suggesting we may see him more involved in games in this coming season. The long ball tactic was arguably not used as mush as it should have been last term.

But it is also very much about getting the ball to him in dangerous areas.
In theory, Strand Larsen will be better for Wolves this season after spending a year in the Premier League.
But Pereira simply has to ensure that the supply line to him is effective. Failure to do so will result in a season of struggle.
