Wolves fans are hoping that new signing Tolu Arokodare will be able to make a big impact in 2025/26.
The Nigerian striker joined the club on transfer deadline day, and the hope is that he can hit the ground running quickly.
Wolves took a firm stance over Jorgen Strand Larsen, and were always insistent they wanted to keep the Norwegian.
And the club have now bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Tolu Arokodare, who has not come cheap at £24 million.
Arokodare enjoyed a fruitful 2024/25 season, hitting 23 goals across all competitions. And Wolves bosses now hope he can be similarly productive in an old gold shirt.
One man who knows all about that is Steve Bull, who is the club’s all-time leading goalscorer with 306 strikes for the club.
And Bull has now shared some thoughts about the club’s late business.
Steve Bull backs Tolu Arokodare move and says he can put ‘pressure’ on Strand Larsen

Arokodare said on arrival at Wolves that he isn’t quite fully fit yet.
And so, the hope is that he can get some decent minutes under his belt over the international break, and return to Wolves in good shape.
Nigerian media were left impressed by Arokodare against Rwanda, after he scored the only goal in a crucial 1-0 victory.
The verdicts from last night’s game will certainly encourage Vitor Pereira, who wants both of his strikers in good form.
For Steve Bull, the signing of Arokodare is positive, and he feels the new man could actually now put some pressure on Jorgen Strand Larsen.
He said in his latest E&S column: “We have also signed some competition up front in Tolu Arokodare, who will put Larsen under some pressure.
“I’ve watched some clips of him and he’s a raw centre forward, which I like! He will put his body on the line to score a goal.
“Having competition is always important and that feels like a good signing to me.”
Arokodare has a big part to play for Wolves
Given the money Wolves have forked out for Arokodare, he will surely be featuring heavily this season.
As of now, it’s unclear if Pereira intends to use him as a rotation option or in a partnership with Strand Larsen.
One would imagine, to begin with, that he will rotate in for Strand Larsen and replace him in games or come on to play alongside him.

But his arrival is certainly positive for Wolves, who were light in terms of striker options.
He clearly knows a thing or two about scoring goals, and the key thing for Wolves will be to ensure there’s a healthy supply line to him.
Hugo Bueno could help Arokodare thrive with his crossing, but others like Fer Lopez and Jhon will need to make sure they provide the ammunition too.
