Wolves completed two signings on deadline day but, had plans to recruit even further with a third player in the pipeline.
Vitor Pereira was eager to bolster his Wolves squad before deadline day of the January transfer window.
The Portuguese did just that, welcoming Marshall Munetsi and Nasser Djiga but, the Old Gold did miss out agonisingly on a third deadline day deal.
It was reported that Wolves failed to sign Thomas Kristensen due to a slight difference in valuation, something the player has now commented on.

Wolves target Thomas Kristensen reveals transfer dream
Kristensen was on Wolves’ radar in the winter market but, the Udinese centre-back remained in Serie A for at least the remainder of the 2024/25 calendar.
Pereira saw the Dane as a strong option to strengthen in defence, an area that the Old Gold desperately needed to address in January.
Wolves saw an opening bid of £12.5m rejected for the 23-year-old, who despite impressing, was not able to secure a transfer to Molineux before time ran out.
Now, the Denmark international has opened up about the transfer saga late in the window, revealing that it was not ‘the plan’ for him to leave Italy in January.
“It is clear that I have a backroom team and an agent who takes care of such things. But I have been involved in most of the things myself. It was not the plan that I would leave now, also because I have not put together a lot of matches this season,” Kristensen told Tipsbladet.
“It is clear that there has been interest in this window. But both the club and I feel that there are still more things to tick off here in Udine, so we will take it easy and continue the development, and then we will have to see what it becomes in the future.”
The defender continued to reveal that his career ‘dream’ is to play in England, giving Wolves transfer hope ahead of the summer.
“Looking further ahead, the dream has always been to reach England at some point. It would be great to land over there one day, although I also enjoy life here.”
Wolves must stay on Kristensen’s radar
Fresh with the knowledge that Kristensen dreams of a Premier League transfer in the future, Wolves must remain close to the Denmark international.
Change is happening at Molineux in defence, with Craig Dawson’s future in doubt, seeing Pereira opt for a complete rebuild in central defence in the hope of improving his squad’s performance.
Statistic per 90 | Kristensen | Toti | Agbadou |

With Djiga and Agbadou to integrate, the Portuguese must keep an eye on Kristensen’s progress in Serie A as the season goes on.
At just 23, the Dane is certainly one to watch heading into the summer after Wolves’ failed approach in the winter.
