One transfer target Wolves have been linked to is expected to leave his club amid interest.
The summer transfer window has been a sore subject for Wolves in recent years due to Fosun’s reluctance to spend.
With Vitor Pereira showing that he has the tools to get the Old Gold to kick on to reach new heights, it’s imperative that the owners financially support the manager in the upcoming window.
Several targets have already been linked to Wolves in preparation for the 2025/26 calendar, with one player’s future now decided.

How much Wolves will have to pay for Alvaro Montoro
Matheus Cunha is set to join Manchester United, opening the door for Pereira to locate a replacement for the forward.
One player who could be up to the task is Wolves transfer target Alvaro Montoro, an 18-year-old attacking midfielder from Argentina.
Currently representing his boyhood club, Velez Sarsfield, Montoro is hot property and is in demand, with former Wolves boss Bruno Lage eyeing the talent at Benfica.
As well as Benfica, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund are interested, as the race to sign the teen continues to simmer away.
In a fresh update reported by Argentine outlet Ole, Wolves’ interest in the rising star is listed, as the Old Gold learned how much they will have to pay for Montoro.
The headline ‘The boy is going to Europe’ paints an encouraging narrative for interested clubs, as Ole states that the playmaker is indeed ‘close to leaving’ Velez Sarsfield.
It’s understood that to sign Montoro, Wolves would have to pay around €12m (£10m) to release him from his current contract, a fee that Velez Sarsfield wanted to raise had the player accepted a new contract.
What could be encouraging for those in the West Midlands is that Ole was unclear on whether Velez Sarsfield would accept offers even lower than the player’s release clause, making for a potential bargain.
Montoro could be tempted by Wolves
Montoro is capable of replacing Cunha at Wolves one day, but in the early stages of his career, the youngster’s priority will be finding a club that will offer him game time.
Though Dortmund, Benfica and Napoli are clubs notorious for giving chances to young players, Pereira’s proposal could tempt Montoro to make the move to the Premier League.
Wolves have shown how willing they are to take a chance on South American talent, not only through first-teamers Andre and Joao Gomes, but also young Pedro Lima.
Lima snubbed Chelsea to join Wolves, telling of the pull that the Old Gold have behind the scenes.
Could Montoro be the latest South American talent to place trust in Wolves? Only time will tell.
