A report from Brazil has linked Wolves with a swoop for Diego Costa.
UOL claim that new boss Bruno Lage has given the green light to sign the former Chelsea striker.
He is a free agent after leaving Atletico Madrid in late December and has two Premier League winner’s medals.
But he would likely command a huge salary and the report claims his wage demands have already scuppered a move to Brazil.

That’s just one of the reasons Wolves fans were skeptical about the rumours when they read about it on Twitter.
They also feel they have been linked with Costa before and it’s just simply not going to happen.
They’re probably right. It looks set to be a frugal summer for Wolves and Fosun generally invest in young talent which will increase in value.
Signing Costa on an expensive contract would fly in the face of that strategy completely.
Signing Costa would generate fireworks but some Old Gold supporters don’t think it’ll happen at all and here’s how the rumour went down on Twitter:

- EFL announce Championship play-off expansion as Wolves manager Rob Edwards reacts
- Rodrigo Gomes’ role at Wolves seems clear after new Rob Edwards verdict
