A report from Brazil has linked Wolves with a swoop for Diego Costa.
UOL claim that new boss Bruno Lage has given the green light to sign the former Chelsea striker.
He is a free agent after leaving Atletico Madrid in late December and has two Premier League winner’s medals.
But he would likely command a huge salary and the report claims his wage demands have already scuppered a move to Brazil.

That’s just one of the reasons Wolves fans were skeptical about the rumours when they read about it on Twitter.
They also feel they have been linked with Costa before and it’s just simply not going to happen.
They’re probably right. It looks set to be a frugal summer for Wolves and Fosun generally invest in young talent which will increase in value.
Signing Costa on an expensive contract would fly in the face of that strategy completely.
Signing Costa would generate fireworks but some Old Gold supporters don’t think it’ll happen at all and here’s how the rumour went down on Twitter:
Bergkamp, Talisca, Costa. That's a superb front three of the never going to happen repeat rumours XI

Paulhinha, Maitland Niles, Costa have all been regurgitated the last few windows.
None will likely happen. Wolves signings you typically don't hear about until the day they are done.
Not this old chestnut again 😂🌰

Apparently not buying big this summer, reduced transfer funds, selling Neves and Rui but we suddenly will blow our wage structure to sign this over the hill Premier League legend 🤦🏻♂️ #FakeNews

Pretty sure that if we didn’t sign him in January when he was a free agent and we were looking for a short term loan……..you know the rest.

Can’t see it, can imagine he would want one final pay day and he isn’t going to get it from us even if we can supplement due to no fee…
