Wolverhampton Wanderers are being linked with a move for Ivan Toney.

According to TEAMtalk, the Molineux club have asked to be kept informed about the Brentford striker’s situation following an outstanding 2020/21.

Toney, 24, is currently the top goalscorer in the Championship having bagged 25 times.

He has been a revelation after signing for a reported £10 million (Sky Sports) to replace Ollie Watkins, and the star is now attracting some attention.

Wolves are said to be monitoring, along with fellow Premier League clubs Arsenal, Leicester City and Leeds United.

Wolves have had real trouble in the goalscoring department this season.

Following the injury to Raul Jimenez, Willian Jose joined the club on loan in January, but the Brazilian is still to score in an old gold shirt.

Fabio Silva has shown signs of promise but has struggled, and Patrick Cutrone was loaned out once again, this time to Valencia.

The idea of signing Toney has been discussed on Twitter by some Wolves fans and it seems many would be open to the idea of him in the squad, despite a large £30 million asking price:
