Sevilla learn firm Wolves transfer stance on Pablo Sarabia as January plan becomes clear

Attention at Wolves is already turning to the January transfer window, with one player’s future uncertain.

The primary concern will be Wolves’ relegation form, with Gary O’Neil’s side having to wait until week 11 to secure three points.

While focus is on what is unfolding on the pitch, there will be some attention paid to the upcoming transfer window, with activity already happening around January.

Pablo Sarabia’s future is uncertain, being one of four Wolves players who are out of contract next summer.

Wolves inform Sevilla of Pablo Sarabia transfer plan

Wolves signed Sarabia in January 2023 from Paris Saint-Germain and a year down the line, the Spaniard could be on the move again.

That is what Spanish giants Sevilla are hoping for, with there belief that the 32-year-old can be lured back to his former club.

Wolves however have a different plan, as Spanish outlet Vamos Mi Sevilla has explained.

The Sevilla site report the club’s desire to sign Sarabia in January but also detail Wolves’ preference to keep hold of the experienced playmaker until his contract expires.

It’s said that Sevilla ‘will explore’ the possibility of signing the ex-PSG ace in January but are aware that Wolves will ‘most likely’ oppose of him leaving in the winter.

Sevilla can sign Sarabia for free when his contract expires, but not before, with Wolves remaining firm with their stance.

As a result, it’s noted that it would be a ‘more feasible option’ for Sevilla to seal a deal for the attacker in the summer to avoid having to pay Wolves for his services.

Sarabia likely to leave Wolves

It’s been a difficult season for Sarabia, who had to wait some time to earn his first minutes of the Premier League campaign.

O’Neil has explained why Sarabia is not a starter, emphasising that his position in the squad is far from crucial, explaining Sevilla’s interest.

For that reason and many others, it looks as though the Spain international’s days at Molineux are numbered, with the club needing to weigh up the pros and cons of offering him a new deal.

Sarabia is Wolves’ top-earner on £90k-a-week yet is not a key player, making the chances of him staying beyond the summer of 2025 incredibly slim.
