Serie A star finally addresses his future after months of Wolves interest

Wolves already have one eye on the January transfer window, but it remains to be seen who will actually want to join a side bottom of the Premier League.

Rob Edwards has already held a transfer meeting with the board at Wolves ahead of the transfer window, and it is said to have gone rather positively.

You could raise an argument for improvements in every position on the pitch, given the start to the season, but they need to be sensible after the summer transfer window.

Wolves spent over £100m in the summer and have nothing but disappointment to show for it. The only player who can really hold their head high is Ladislav Krejci.

Jhon Arias, Jorgen Strand Larsen, and Tolu Arokodare were all brought in to provide goals in the final third, but they’ve only conjured up one goal between them in the top-flight.

Who is the one player you want Wolves to sign in the January transfer window? 🤑

Surely Dwight McNeil has to be up there… 🤔

Christos Mandas issues an update on his future at Lazio

Christos Mandas has been linked with Wolves since the summer months, but things just haven’t fallen into place.

However, the January transfer window could provide the perfect opportunity as Mandas is now supposedly available for £6 million.

Wolves face a battle in trying to persuade him to make the move, though, as he appears to be content with his current situation at Lazio.

In an interview shared by Alfredo Pedulla, Mandas had this to say:

“I haven’t spoken to the club. I’m focused on work and waiting for the right moment: only in this way can I improve, but I haven’t spoken to anyone.

“I don’t want to cause problems in this great atmosphere. I want to help the team.”

Do Wolves need a goalkeeper in January?

Sam Johnstone has looked rather commanding in between the sticks for the majority of this season. But his error in judgment against Nottingham Forest cost Wolves and put doubt into people’s minds.

Jose Sa has gone from being the guaranteed number one over the past couple of seasons to a fringe player, and it’s all his own doing.

It certainly doesn’t help that Sa was named in the XI of lowest lowest-rated players in the Premier League this season, having shipped 11 goals in just four games.

With a goalkeeper wanted in January, who stays and who goes?😬

A goalkeeper is definitely required, but the main thing is consistency.

Christos Mandas has had to settle for second fiddle for most of the season at Lazio, so it could be seen as a slight risk for Wolves to make another out-of-England purchase.
