Sensational Wolves target could play for Real Madrid and Barcelona

Wolves are aiming to make their final tweaks to their team ahead of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.

Gary O’Neil has managed to keep the core of the Wolves squad so far this summer with only Max Kilman departing for West Ham

Three new faces have also been added on top of Tommy Doyle joining the club permanently. However, the Molineux side are not yet done in the transfer market.

According to reports, Wolves want to sign Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yilmaz over the coming weeks after impressing in Turkey.

The move would no doubt be a bold one with multiple clubs chasing the player.

His form has been so eye-catching in Istanbul, that one coach now believes he is capable of playing for the best sides in the world.

Yilmaz has been on fire at Galatsary over the past two seasons. Since joining the club, he has lifted the Turkish Super Cup and the Super Lig twice, the latter with 102 points.

The 24-year-old is also a regular for the Turkish national team and featured in the 2024 Euros this summer.

The strength of his form has earned the praise of many pundits and coaches across the game. Former footballer now-turned-coach Selcuk Inan told the Liverpool Echo: “I think Baris Alper Yılmaz can play very comfortably for many teams in the Premier League at the moment. He’s a very special player.

“We worked a lot together. If Barıs Alper improves himself with his final ball, he can easily play for the best clubs in the world such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Arsenal.

“He’s a player with a lot of potential. Hopefully, he will get that chance and represent them.”

If Wolves really want to sign Yilmaz then they cannot wait around. The winger is reportedly wanted by Man United, Liverpool and Brighton, with other European sides such as Red Bull Leipzig registering interest.

With demand high, Wolves must act fast if their interest is genuine. The winger would no doubt vastly improve the quality of their squad and could be the perfect Pedro Neto replacement if he leaves.

A top-half Premier League finish and a potential push for Europe once again is not too far away if the club have a good end to the window.

O’Neil must convince Fosun of this and it may help in securing players such as Yilmaz in the coming weeks.
