Wolves are closing in on their second signing of the Vitor Pereira era with Manu Silva identified as a target.
Pereira sees Silva as a replacement for Mario Lemina, who is expected to leave Molineux in the coming weeks.
After Lemina refused to play for Wolves, Pereira’s transfer priorities shifted, with a midfielder immediately eyed.
Fabrizio Romano revealed that Wolves submitted an offer to sign Silva, who is close to trading Liga Portugal for the Premier League.

Silva, who currently represents Vitoria Guimaraes, has been sounded out as a target of Pereira’s, as Wolves edge closer to pulling off another transfer from the Portuguese market.
Following Romano’s update on the transfer situation, it became clear that Silva is close to leaving Vitoria, as the midfielder was not named in the squad to face Arouca.
News in Portugal insists that the 23-year-old is ‘on his way’ to sign for Wolves, with Jornal de Noticias providing the update.
The Portuguese newspaper said that Wolves will pay around €12m for the midfielder, who will hand Vitoria a 10% sell-on fee for any future transfer of the player.
Judging by reports in Portugal, it’s all systems go for Silva’s transfer to Wolves, in what is an exciting capture for the Old Gold.
