Wolves are expected to be busy in the January transfer window – and it has been claimed that representatives of the club will be in attendance for one Champions League game tomorrow night.
It has been an awful start to the 2025/26 season for Wolves, who are still without a win in the Premier League after eight rounds of fixtures.
Wanderers fell to a 2-0 defeat on Saturday against Sunderland, leaving travelling fans fuming.
Supporters had been optimistic of a positive result after the improvements we saw against Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton.
But Wolves put in a dire performance – and Sunderland didn’t even have to be particularly great.
The situation is bad for Wolves, and it’s already looking like the club will need to be active in January to try and add some quality or leaders, or both.
And it looks like the club may be casting their net in Turkey for potential signings.
Wolves set to watch Galatasaray players in the Champions League

It has been reported by Liam Keen that Wolves could look to strengthen two positions in January.
A new midfielder will be high on the agenda, and Keen also suggested either a new winger or number 10 could be considered.
Pereira then said Wolves lacked wingers after the defeat to Sunderland, in a potential hint about his intentions for January.
Last night, a journalist from Turkey made a claim about Wolves.
Ali Naci Küçük – who boasts a following of almost 300,000 on X – appeared in a clip posted by Sky Spor TR, claiming that Wolves will have representatives in attendance for the Champions League game between Galatasaray and Bodo Glimt tomorrow night.
They face off at Rams Park in the early evening kick-off.
But Wolves will not be the only club sending scouts for the contest. Küçük says: “I’ll give you some clear information privately. Very important clubs will be watching the match at RAMS Park. Stuttgart, Roma, Everton, Wolverhampton, and Napoli will be observing Galatasaray’s players.”
Who Wolves may be planning to watch
This is an interesting claim, and one that will now have Wolves fans wondering who might be of interest to the scouts attending.
Galatasaray have had a great start to the 2025/26 season and have currently won eight of their nine Super Lig matches, drawing the other. They sit top of the league on 25 points, five clear of Trabzonspor in second.
In terms of the Champions League, they’ve won one and lost one so far, and sit 21st in the 36-team League Phase table.
With Pereira potentially wanting a new winger, perhaps the talented Yunus Akgun might be someone scouts are going to watch.

The 25-year-old has drawn interest from several English clubs in recent times, and has four goal contributions in 10 appearances so far this term.
It is also worth noting that in the summer, Wolves were linked with midfielder Gabriel Sara. It was actually claimed that Wolves had scouted the Brazilian, so perhaps Molineux officials want to take another look at him.
That would be a very ambitious swoop, and also one that would require Wolves to free up a non-homegrown player slot, as would a move for Akgun.
