Wolves have officially signed Nathan Collins from Burnley.
Wanderers have finally added to their squad, signing the centre-back for a reported fee of £20.5 million.
He becomes the first signing of the summer, with many fans delighted with his acquisition.
The 21-year-old will now head to Alicante with the rest of the squad, and look to settle in quickly with the new Premier League season starting in just under a month.
It is a signing many supporters have wanted to see for several windows now.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
While Wolves were great at the back for most of 2021/22, there was clear vulnerability at the back towards the end of the campaign.
With Romain Saiss departing on a free, the club simply had to swoop.
Collins arrives at the club having made just 19 appearances in the top-flight. But the club firmly believe in his potential, and Scott Sellars has given an exciting verdict on the player.

Speaking about the club’s newest star, the technical director said (via Wolves official): “We’ve looked at Nathan for a while and admired him, so we’re delighted to bring him to the football club. He’s a very talented young man – he’s only 21, has played international football and had a good season last year with Burnley. We think we’ve signed a player with a lot of potential, as well as being a very good footballer now.
“We’re getting someone who is physically very good, very tall, very athletic, and is very comfortable on the ball – he can step in and take the ball forward, which is what we need. He’s very good in both boxes and has real aerial strength.
“The feedback on his personality is about his leadership qualities, he’s a good character, so he ticks all the boxes. He comes across as expected, a humble young man who is appreciative of the opportunity, so we’re all going to be very happy.”
Wolves have finally arrived this summer as club confirm Nathan Collins
Wolves are finally up and running for the summer.
Many fans had really started to lose patience, so it was essential for the club to get somebody in. And especially with the squad jetting off to Alicante today.

While this signing will appease a lot of supporters, the club must now endeavour to follow this up with a few more new faces.
The club still need to sign a new central midfielder and another striker. And that’s assuming no one else leaves the club.
