Wales manager Rob Page is reportedly keen for Aaron Ramsey to leave Juventus – amid interest from Wolves.

The midfielder has made just five appearances for his club so far this season.

His last appearance came last month in the Champions League against Zenit Saint Petersburg, which was a mere six-minute cameo.

He is out of favour under Max Allegri, who has turned to the likes of Weston McKennie, Manuel Locatelli, Arthur and Rodrigo Bentancur before him. Ramsey has had just 98 minutes of Serie A action so far.

Fabrizio Romano recently claimed the player is looking for a new challenge.

Calciomercato claimed Juve could rip up his contract.

Leaving the Old Lady is something Ramsey’s national team manager Page would like to see.

The Mirror have claimed he wants Ramsey to get regular game time.

And Wales Online quote Page as saying: “All I can influence is encouraging the players to want to go and play domestic football, whether it is at their parent club or elsewhere.

“That is what we are encouraging them to do.”

Realistically, Ramsey could remain at Juventus until the end of the season and still get picked for Wales’ World Cup squad should they make it.

Could Ramsey leave Juventus for Wolves in January?

Well, Calciomercato reported Ramsey would be open to a return to the Premier League.

Corriere dello Sport reported (print edition, page 19, October 8, 2021) that Wolves intend to make a January bid for the player.

It will possibly come down to whether Ramsey is willing to take a significant pay cut.

And it may also depend on whether Wolves make another go of signing Renato Sanches.

It’s probably unlikely if we’re being totally honest.
