Rob Edwards is not letting his Wolves players off easy, as he issues a warning about the upcoming January window.
The Old Gold’s season has been a disaster. 14 matches without a win and just two points have left them at the bottom of the Premier League.
The January transfer window will be a way for the club to rectify what has happened this campaign, with Rob Edwards telling Jamie Carragher how that will play out.
But while there will be incomings next month, the Wolves head coach has also warned the current members of his squad about their futures.
Who has been Wolves’ best signing this season?
Rob Edwards not shy about replacing poor-performing Wolves players in January
Rob Edwards has not minced his words about his current squad’s performances, sending them an ultimatum for the January window.
Wolves have struggled to impress in the Premier League, and the displays from some of their stars have not been good enough.
It has left the Old Gold in desperate need of new additions, and the Wanderers head coach has warned his players they could be replaced if they do not start stepping up.
Edwards said, “How do we lift it? By being consistent, we have to be living like we’re a winner on and off the pitch. We can do more, and that’s the message today from the players and to the players.
“If we don’t see it, we’ll have to make changes in the team in January or whenever that may be. We have to be more consistent in what we do.” (via BBC Sport).

For fans, that will be great news. They were growing frustrated with Vitor Pereira constantly starting his favourites and poor performances being rewarded.
Edwards has now put his squad on notice, and there will be a few players fighting for their future at the club.

The Wolves players fighting for their future at Molineux
There have been quite a few Wolves players this season who have been below par.
Marshall Munetsi has struggled to impress supporters for much of the season, and Hwang Hee-chan has been the same.
In a similar breath, Jhon Arias has not been a success, and the combination of his poor form alongside Hwang’s could see the Old Gold target a winger.

Ki-Jana Hoever has also struggled to stamp his name into the side. Additionally, with Wolves seemingly in the market for a goalkeeper, Jose Sa and Sam Johnstone will need to be wary of their places too.
The Old Gold have been linked with James Trafford, and long-term target Christos Mandas is also available in January.
The players have a month to show they deserve a place in the starting XI, or else, as Edwards suggests, he will not hesitate to make changes.
But that might end up being for the better.
