Wolverhampton Wanderers may struggle to sign midfielder Renato Sanches, with a report claiming he is ‘destined’ to join Liverpool.
According to Calciomercato, the Lille dynamo is looking likely to move to Anfield this summer, with Gini Wijnaldum out of contract.

The Euro 2016 winner has managed to make big strides in his career followed a failed loan stint at Swansea City, and is being tipped to depart the French side, where he’s been since the summer of 2019.
Lille are in financial difficulty right now and a recent report from the Liverpool Echo claims they have been one of the hardest-hit clubs as a result of the pandemic.
Sanches is one of their most valuable assets, and could therefore be sacrificed.

Wolves were linked with a move for Sanches back in November (Calciomercato), and some have been hoping he’ll be the next Portuguese star through the door at Molineux following his recent improvements.
Sanches move looks very unlikely for Wolves
So it seems Sanches could well be Anfield-bound.

It’s hard to look past him joining the Reds given the Wijnaldum contract situation.
The Dutchman moving on would likely mean he would get regular game time, which would surely appeal given how big a club Liverpool are.
Wolves may have a strong Portuguese contingent and could really do with a box-to-box player likes Sanches, but a move seems like it would be difficult.
