Wolves are reportedly ready to cash in on Adama Traore for at least £30 million, with his old club Barcelona keen to make a move.
According to 90min, the Spaniard is still attracting a lot of attention, with his contract winding down.
Talks have seemingly stalled once again between club and player.
That has coincided with Traore seeing fewer minutes for the club in recent weeks.
Bruno Lage has denied that his contract situation has played a part in that.
90min say Wolves are now ready to sell the 25-year-old with Barcelona, and also Liverpool, interested.
Their new head coach Xavi is supposedly a huge fan of Traore and would like him to return to the Nou Camp.
It’s explained that a deal could be difficult to do for Barca, and a loan with option to buy is a possibility.
Wolves should cash in on Traore for £30 million amid Barcelona interest
Getting £30 million for Traore would be decent business by Wolves. It would annoy some fans, but Wolves may not really have much choice.
If the player is not going to extend, and that is looking increasingly unlikely, the Wolves need to act before he loses value.
Selling to Barcelona is probably the best thing to do. Wolves will surely want to avoid him flourishing at another Premier League club.
Really, he should be selling for at least as much as Diogo Jota.
But the situation is what it is. £30 million for a player with less than two years on his contract wouldn’t be bad going all things considered.
