Wolverhampton Wanderers have been credited with an interest in Espanyol winger Adrian Embarba.
According to a report from AS, Wolves are keen on the 29-year-old but face competition from a few other clubs for his signature.

Embarba is currently not even in the top 10 earners at the club despite his status as being one of their better players.
With nine goals and 14 assists in 2020/21, he is certainly a key member of the squad, and was crucial to their promotion to La Liga
Embarba is apparently keen to pen fresh terms with Espanyol, but interest in him is high and it could be that Espanyol seek to cash in.

As well as Wolves, West Ham United, Norwich City, Watford, Real Betis and Levante are all on his tail.
Embarba was an unused substitute in both games Wolves played against Espanyol in the Europa League in the 2019/20 season.
Wolves need to aim higher
Embarba is clearly a decent player, but one wonders how he would get on in the Premier League.
There is a big jump in standard from the Spanish Segunda division.

It’s been reported that there is now more emphasis for Wolves on signing players who can improve the starting XI, rather than squad players or stars with big potential.
Embarba just isn’t an upgrade on Adama Traore, Daniel Podence or Pedro Neto.
