Wolverhampton Wanderers are said to be on the tail of Las Palmas youngster Alberto Moleiro.
That is the claim from La Provincias, who say the teenager is attracting interest from a number of clubs from across Europe.
He is apparently the Spanish club’s ‘new jewel’, and Bruno Lage has already been able to take a look at him first-hand.
Wolves, of course, faced Las Palmas recently during the club’s pre-season training camp in Marbella.
The Premier League side were beaten 3-2, with Ki-Jana Hoever and Morgan Gibbs-White the Wolves goalscorers.
Moleiro impressed in the game, and it seems Wolves would be keen to snap him up.
He has supposedly been very imprssive all round for Pepe Mel’s side in their pre-season.
Moleiro is already being projected as potentially the next Pedri. The midfielder is now considered one of the best young talents in football at Barcelona, and he also came through the ranks at Las Palmas.
One to watch out for
Hopefully this isn’t the sole focus of Wolves’ attention right now.
The club are in dire need to a new central defender who can improve the starting XI. A new midfielder would also be most welcome.
But Moleiro sounds very promising and Lage has obviously seen him play out in Marbella.
Perhaps Moleiro is a name for Wolves fans to watch out for – that potential next Pedri tag is definitely exciting.
