Wolves expect Morgan Gibbs-White to be a part of their squad for next season.
The midfielder has been linked with an exit from Molineux following his superb loan stint at Sheffield United.
Gibbs-White has a number of clubs interested in him right now, including Nottingham Forest.
The likes of Southampton, Leeds United and AC Milan have also been mentioned previously.
But according to the Express & Star, no bids have come in for the 22-year-old as of yet.
It is stated that Wanderers are hopeful of holding on to the England U21 international ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The club recently offered him a new contract to try and convince him his future lies at Molineux.
Regardless of whether he signs that contract or not, Wolves still expect him to remain at the club.
Bruno Lage is a big fan of Gibbs-White, and really wants to integrate him back into his first-team squad. He wanted to recall him last January, but the player decided to stay put at Bramall Lane to continue his development.
And Lage didn’t particularly want him to depart last summer.
The club’s position over Gibbs-White is now very clear.
But there have yet to be any reports about the player’s feelings about the situation.
Wolves holding on to Gibbs-White will be a real boost
It would be a major positive for Wolves if they do indeed retain Gibbs-White this summer.
The youngster’s loan spell with Sheffield United has done him the world of good, and the club will be getting back a much improved player.
Potentially, some transfer bids could well come in.
But the Express & Star do say that it would take a substantial offer to convince Wolves to sell.
