Pedro Neto has reportedly emerged as a target for Italian giants Juventus.

That’s the claim made by Tuttosport (covered by Football Italia and Tuttomercatoweb), who reckon the Portugal international’s form has alerted the attention of Juve management.

The club are said to have an excellent relationship with Jorge Mendes just like Wolves, and could have discussions with the super-agent about a potential transfer.

Neto has arguably been Wolves’ standout player in 2020/21 so far.

The 20-year-old has only contributed one goal and a couple of assists, but he has been very lively, looking dangerous in one-on-one situations and working extremely hard out of possession.

The club have clearly been very pleased with his contributions of late, and recently handed him a new contract.

That Neto has committed his future at Molineux is sure to give Wolves plenty of confidence retaining his services.

Neto’s promise validated

If Juventus really are keen on Neto, it just goes to show how quickly he is developing and suggests his reputation is growing.

There really shouldn’t be any chance of a transfer happening any time soon given the new contract he signed though.

Wolves would be sending out the wrong message by cashing in on a player who has top-class potential, unless Juve offered a ridiculous fee of course.
