Wolves have only just sold Ruben Vinagre, but the defender could be set for a quick return to the Premier League with Nottingham Forest.
According to A Bola, the star is back in England to make a move for the newly promoted side.
Vinagre signed for Sporting CP permanently after spending the 2021/22 season on loan with them.
It was decided fairly soon after he joined that the move would be turned permanent. The transfer cost Sporting around £8.6 million (A Bola).
But it looks as though Vinagre will not be featuring with the Portuguese outfit next season.
He didn’t really feature too heavily for Sporting last season, with Ruben Amorim preferring to use the likes of Nuno Santos and Matheus on the left.
Vinagre ultimately made 18 appearances for the club.
It was reported earlier this year that Vinagre had struggled with his confidence after a tough outing against Ajax in the Champions League, and that Amorim had been working with him to rebuild it.
It looks as though he could be set for a loan move.
The last time Vinagre played in the Premier League was in September 2020, when Wolves were thrashed 4-0 by West Ham United at the London Stadium.
Ruben Vinagre set for another crack at the Premier League with Forest
It is a shame that Vinagre had some struggles last season.
Perhaps he needs a fresh environment to get himself back on track.
He obviously has experience of playing in the Premier League and a move to newly promoted Forest could be a good move for him.
