A change in the recruitment structure at Molineux could see Wolves get most of their transfer business done early this summer.
After Domenico Teti was announced as the new technical director, there is hope that his assistance with transfers can help land Vitor Pereira some bargains.
Wolves are already closing in on their first signing, with Fer Lopez completing his medical at Molineux on Wednesday ahead of a proposed £20 million switch from Celta Vigo.
Lopez is seen as a talent with bundles of potential, and perhaps someone who can provide magic in gold following the departure of Matheus Cunha to Manchester United.
The 21-year-old is destined to be one of several names signed by Pereira this summer, with an emphasis on replacing Cunha’s output.

Wolves fans react to Raul Moro links
It will take something special to fill Cunha’s void in 2025/26, seeing as though he supplied 23 goal involvements in all competitions.
That is why Wolves are instead using the money to sign multiple players, in the hope they can exceed what the Brazilian achieved individually.
On Thursday, it emerged that Wolves wanted to sign Real Valladolid winger Raul Moro, who is currently starring for Spain’s under-21s at the European Championships.
The Spanish speedster also faces competition from Ajax for his signature after supplying seven goal involvements in La Liga last term, despite his side suffering relegation.
Reacting to the links to Moro, some fans couldn’t contain their excitement, with one saying: “Quality player would be a great deal,” while another stated: “Good player. Was one of the best players last night for Spain.”
“He’s actually so good! I watched him play last year and he is their best player. Very fast and a good finisher!” someone else exclaimed.
“Like that deal a lot,” a fifth wrote while a sixth commented: “A huge talent.”
According to reports, Ajax are in advanced negotiations to sign Moro, who has been valued at just over £8.5 million, and that price tag is why Wolves should do everything in their power to sign him.
Moro’s stats are incredible
Moro’s low centre of gravity and incredible dribbling ability have seen him light up La Liga and the European Championships with two assists in his first three matches.
The 22-year-old has been likened to Lionel Messi due to the ease with which he can glide past players, something that Wolves will miss now that Rayan Ait-Nouri and Cunha have gone.
Statistically, Moro’s metrics make for impressive reading, as he currently ranks in the top 1% of wingers across Europe’s top five leagues for progressive carries, successful take-ons, and the top 2% for progressive passes received.
| Raul Moro’s statistics per 90 | Rank vs wingers in Europe’s top five leagues |
| Progressive carries (4.31) | Top 1% |
| Successful take-ons (2.19) | Top 1% |
| Touches attacking pen (4.15) | Top 2% |
| Progressive passes received (7.30) | Top 2% |
| Assists (0.19) | Top 12% |
Wolves need someone with the X Factor in attack post-Cunha, and Moro has already shown he’s more than capable.
