Vitor Pereira is in the market for a new midfielder after loaning out Tommy Doyle, but one target has now emerged for Real Betis.
Doyle left a couple of weeks ago to join Birmingham City on loan, and it is hoped that he will shine in the Championship.
Wolves are also trying to loan out Boubacar Traore in this window.
Metz was to re-sign Traore, but it depends if they can come to an arrangement with Wolves over the payment of his salary.
So Pereira wants to add a new midfielder in the coming weeks.
And one player Wolves have looked at this summer is Rangers maestro Nico Raskin – but Wanderers will not have it easy to sign the Belgian.
Wolves target Nico Raskin wanted by Real Betis as Rangers stance shared

It was claimed that Raskin was a target for Wolves and that he was a player who former sporting director Matt Hobbs had been following for the best part of 18 months.
Raskin has really impressed up in Scotland with Rangers, and was named the Player of the Year at Ibrox after the 2024/25 campaign.
But if Wolves want to swoop then they’ll have to prepare to fight hard.
Because Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Real Betis have now joined the race.

The Spanish side’s interest comes after a key development, with Johnny Cardoso, a former Wolves target, recently being sold to Atletico Madrid.
Another midfielder, William Carvalho, is also set to leave.
How Rangers feel about a potential Nico Raskin exit
It has been reported previously by The Sun that Rangers are ‘desperate’ to keep hold of Raskin this summer, amid interest from Wolves and Betis.
Manager Russell Martin is even said to want to build his team around Raskin, and it has also been suggested the Gers are keen to hand him an improved contract.
Martin is a big fan of the player, describing him last week as a ‘really outstanding footballer’ (via Rangers Review).
And Raskin would be open to staying at Ibrox.
Earlier this year, he talked about remaining where he is if the club wanted him to stay.
He said (via BBC Sport): “I’ve been enjoying myself this season and it’s not so often that you can enjoy yourself in a club, so I’m really happy here.
“I’ve got two more seasons in my contract, so as long as the club wants me, I’ll be here and then we’ll see what happens.”
