Stoke City manager Alex Neil praised Chiquinho, after the Wolves winger shone on his first loan appearance for the Potters last night.
Chiquinho sealed his move to the Championship outfit last Friday, along with fellow Wolves player Ki-Jana Hoever, who’s returned for a second stint.
Chiquinho has just returned from a serious knee injury that ruled him out for the whole of last season.
Wolves officials want him to go out and play regularly, with sporting director Matt Hobbs stating that the youngster wasn’t in Julen Lopetegui’s immediate plans.
Stoke swooped – and many of their fans are already buzzing they’ve got him.
Because Chiquinho really caught the eye against Burton Albion.
Alex Neil praises Chiquinho after loan debut for Stoke
Chiquinho was handed a 45-minute chance from the start against Burton for Stoke on Tuesday.

And he really caught the eye, linking up with Hoever who was playing just behind him.
The Stoke Sentinel described him as ‘electric’ in their player reviews, and Neil also had some positive words for the Portuguese winger.
He told the Stoke City official website: “Yeah very good (his performance). It’s difficult for them. Chiquinho at least had one session yesterday, so he had a rough idea about what we’re asking him to do. I think what you can see is that he’s got that individual quality.
“He puts a great ball in as well with his right foot.
“I just need to watch him more so I can understand what he is and what he isn’t, and try and utilise his qualities.”
Chiquinho will be an exciting watch at Stoke
Plenty of Stoke fans on social media are already singing Chiquinho’s praises after his first appearance against Burton.
It is fantastic that he’s already caught the eye.
2023/24 is a big season for him, as he seeks to get games under his belt after his serious knee injury.

Wolves would like to hope that he can return to Molineux a better player, and finally break into the starting XI.
Wolves officials will no doubt be watching him very closely.
Because the club have reportedly included a recall clause, meaning it is not out of the question we could be seeing him in a Wolves shirt in the second half of 2023/24.
