Proposed new Wolves signing spotted on flight to England after transfer deal agreed

Wolves are edging closer to the signing of a new centre-back, and the wheels are well and truly in motion over one target.

On Saturday night, Wolves suffered a big blow with Kevin Danso heading to Tottenham Hotspur.

Danso had been a top target for Wolves, but in the end Spurs executed a successful hijack of the move.

But Wolves have put the disappointment behind them, and are now closing in on an alternative.

It was reported yesterday that Wolves could go back in for Nasser Djiga of Red Star Belgrade.

Earlier, Wolves then made a bid for Djiga.

The £10 million bid Wolves made for Djiga was accepted by Red Star, and the situation is moving fast, with the player already on his way.

In the last moments, top journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported on the Nasser Djiga to Wolves story.

And it’s ominous because he has now uploaded a picture of the player on a flight to England.

He said: “EXCL: Nasser Djiga, on his way for medicals as new Wolves player as fee has been agreed and player travelling now.

“He’s together with his agent Marcel Veerman, ready to complete Wolves move.”

It’s looking good for Wolves, but fans will not take anything for granted.

The collapse of the Danso deal just shows that things can look nailed on and still not come to fruition.

Promising signs for Wolves over new centre-back

Some fans will be wary about a repeat of the Danso deal.

But Wolves officials surely will not let that happen again as it would be a terrible look.

Earlier today journalist Alex Crook did say there were other clubs still at the table, but hopefully, Wolves are going to be the player’s choice.

Wolves will hope that the Burkina Faso international can come in and have an impact similar to what Emmanuel Agbadou has.

The Ivorian, signed a few weeks ago from Reims, already looks like a top addition to a backline that was crying out for one.
