What happens with Wolves star Hugo Bueno will be very intriguing this summer – with one Premier League club said to be ‘very interested’ in the player.
Bueno has been on loan at Dutch giants Feyenoord this season, after struggling for minutes last term.
Bueno fell behind Rayan Ait-Nouri in the pecking order at Molineux in 2023/24 and so, Wolves felt it necessary to get him out on loan and playing regular football.
And Bueno has done just that, making 26 appearances for around 1610 minutes on the pitch. He’d have featured a little more more had it not been for a couple of small injuries he picked up.
But Bueno has impressed when he’s played, and seemingly, his performances have not gone unnoticed.

Bournemouth keen on summer transfer for Wolves defender Hugo Bueno

It has been reported by journalist Matteo Moretto that Bournemouth are keen on Bueno.
He wrote on X over the weekend: “Bournemouth is very interested in Hugo Bueno, from Feyenoord. The Spaniard is a real option for the English club every summer.”
While there is no more information offered than that, Moretto was the first to reveal that Wolves were in signing Jorgen Strand Larsen last summer, then that Wolves were advancing in talks, and then that an agreement had been reached.
So there is a reasonable chance that the Cherries are indeed eyeing up the Spaniard.
And it would make sense. Because currently, there is a lot of speculation about the future of their left-back Milos Kerkez at the moment.
Kerkez – who is valued at £45 million by Bournemouth (via The Times) – is a target for Liverpool this summer as they seek a long-term successor for Andy Robertson.
Wolves may look reintegrate Bueno for next season
It remains to be seen what Wolves will do with Bueno.
But it’s very possible the club will not want to sell. Molineux News has previously been told Bueno could be a replacement for Ait-Nouri next season.
Across his 26 matches this season, he’s averaged a fairly decent 6.86 rating with Sofascore.
Ait-Nouri has had another good season at Wolves and has a lot of interest in him heading into the summer.

The Algerian could depart for big money, after what would be five years at Wolves.
With Joao Gomes signing a new contract at Wolves, that almost makes it more likely that Ait-Nouri will leave in addition to Matheus Cunha, with Fosun obviously having been known for sanctioning multiple big sales over the last few summers.
If Ait-Nouri does leave, then that will likely open the door for Bueno to come in as his replacement.
