Wolves struck gold by signing Pedro Lima during the 2024 summer transfer window.
The highly rated teenager joined Wolves on his 18th birthday, arriving from Brazilian second-tier club Sport Recife.
Matheus Cunha played a role in Lima’s arrival, with the teen quickly showing what he’s capable of in the Old Gold.
Lima starred in pre-season; however, when competitive action commenced, it became clear that patience would be the 18-year-old’s biggest test.

Chances of Pedro Lima leaving Wolves on loan analysed
After arriving with limited senior experience under his belt, it was expected that the youngster would be eased into action, but Lima expelled such thought through his performance level.
That being said, Gary O’Neil insisted that Lima wouldn’t feature much, something that Vitor Pereira looked to avoid, handing the teen his Premier League debut.
Since making his debut in the top-flight, Lima has played only 11 minutes, and with the summer transfer window approaching, it could be pondered whether the Brazilian ventures out on loan.
To get an idea of Wolves’ stance on Lima, Molineux News sought the expertise of TBR’s Graeme Bailey.
“I’d be surprised if he was sent out before pre-season,” Bailey stated.
“I think he’s going to get pre-season, and then we’ll see how it goes from there. I’d imagine he will stay around the first team, but that’s for Pereira to decide over the summer.”
The transfer expert, at this moment in time, expects Lima to remain in the Wolves squad next season, making it clear that a temporary exit would be unexpected.
Lima needs more game time next season
There’s no rush for Lima to be a regular at Wolves, but like every player, game time is needed to support development.
Lima hasn’t played a lot of senior football this season, something that could change next term.

The Brazilian has shown that he’s capable of positively impacting games at senior level, giving Pereira a fresh option when required on the right side of defence.
With Nelson Semedo’s future unclear, there could be an opening for Lima to force a way into the starting XI next term, but first, a big pre-season awaits.
