Wolves could be in line to lose a star player in 2024 as Nottingham Forest are credited with interest for Jose Sa.
The January transfer window is open and links are now flying around over incoming and outgoings at Molineux. It is however thought that Wolves are needing to sell before they buy and there seem to be a few players attracting interest.
The primary one is Pedro Neto who Wolves arent keen on selling with a huge fee the only way they’ll be convinced. Ontop of this, it’s been suggested that Neto is expecting to leave Wolves at the end of this season.
Another was Jose Sa who is believed to be a target for clubs in the Saudi Pro League according to reports late last year.
Now, further interest is rising in Sa – who Wolves signed for just £6.5m – this time from a Premier League side who have recently got a new manager.

Nottingham Forest showing interest in Jose Sa
The ‘incredible‘ Wolves keeper has been in top-class form for Wolves this season and it’s really no surprise he’s attracting a lot of interest.
According to Sky Sports journalist Johnny Phillips on X, Sa is of interest to the City Ground side. He wrote: “Nottingham Forest interest (no bid yet) in José Sa but Wolves wouldn’t sanction without replacement”.
This leaves Wolves in a situation where they hold all the cards, if an offer which is satisfactory comes in they’d likely let him go assuming they find a replacement.
The interest from Forest makes sense given the Portuguese connection through new manager and former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
Nuno Espirito Santo returning to raid Wolves
So, while Sa and Nuno never actually got to work together at Wolves, he is clearly an admirer of the Old Gold shot stopper.
At Forest, Nuno has took over a side who had just signed two keepers in the summer with neither setting the world alight with their displays.
That’s left him wanting Sa, and while Wolves could be tempted to sell, a deal would likely prove too expensive for the City Ground side considering Saudi sides are involved.
