Wolves winger Morgan Gibbs-White has come in for praise from Pedro Neto, after the pair linked up really well together on Wednesday.
Gibbs-White featured on the right as part of Wolves’ attack in the game against Deportivo Alaves, with Neto on the left.
It was a very lively display from the youngsters.
Fans have been itching to see Gibbs-White play after his brilliant season on loan at Sheffield United in 2021/22.
And the 22-year-old did not disappoint, as he was a constant threat against the Spanish outfit.
He provided the assist for Neto’s goal, poking the ball past the defender for the winger to latch onto and finish first time.
It was some great link-up between the duo, and Neto has since lavished praise in his teammate, admitting he loves to play with him.
He said (Express & Star): “Since the day that I arrived Morgan was a player that I enjoyed playing with in training. We speak to each other about that.
“I remember one training session that we had, our team did a fantastic job. We were playing with young players – me, him, Vitinha – and we did a fantastic training session and were joking with the older guys.
“Morgan is a player that is easy to play with because he likes to combine, he likes to come inside, he likes to play with the team, and he comes here to improve the team.”
Following the game with Alaves, Gibbs-White then captained the side against Levante yesterday morning.
He played the first-half in a false nine role.
Gibbs-White looks good for Wolves stay this summer, as Pedro Neto sings star’s praises
Between Bruno Lage handing Gibbs-White the captaincy yesterday, and Neto now stating that he is easy to play with, Gibbs-White currently looks good to stay at Wolves for 2022/23.
At the moment there is speculation that he could yet depart.
A number of teams such as Everton, Crystal Palace, Southampton and Nottingham Forest are said to be keen.
But it seems Gibbs-White is very respected back at Molineux.
Hopefully, he does see his immediate future with Wanderers and will not end up pushing for an exit.
