Pablo Sarabia desire now shared after Wolves exit decision, but interested club need one thing from him

Wolves recently confirmed that Pablo is leaving at the end of his contract – and the star’s next club is possibly becoming clearer.

The Spaniard is bringing an end to his two-and-a-half years at the club.

Wolves fans wished Sarabia well following the recent announcement, and he is a player who’ll be missed in terms of his creativity.

Pablo Sarabia was not always consistent for Wolves, and could sometimes frustrate with his lack of influence in games.

But he certainly had some brilliant moments in a Wolves shirt, with the goal against Tottenham Hotspur at Molineux in the 2023/24 season, and the free-kick against Manchester United back in April, especially good.

All eyes are on where Sarabia will now go following his exit from Wolves – and there have been a couple of updates.

Given Sarabia is a free agent, this potentially opens up a lot of avenues for him.

The 33-year-old won’t require any transfer fee, which will surely encourage plenty of clubs to pitch themselves to him.

But Sarabia was on eye-watering money at Wolves, and he’ll probably be able to make high demands due to his status as a free agent.

According to reports in Spain, Sevilla are an option for Sarabia.

La Colina De Nervion report that Sevilla have identified Sarabia as a possible replacement for winger Suso. They say that their new sporting director Antonio Cordón is keen on him, but the suggestion is that some player exits will need to happen first.

Que! Deportes claim Sarabia is on Sevilla’s radar ahead of next season, and that he wants to return to Spain.

But there could be work to do, with orgullobiri.com reporting Sarabia would need to agree to a ‘considerable’ salary reduction.

Of course, Sarabia has previously played for Sevilla, joining them in the summer of 2016 and staying for three seasons.

Wolves will miss Sarabia despite lack of consistency

Ultimately, a lot more was expected from Sarabia at Wolves.

He arrived with a big reputation and international pedigree, but we just didn’t see his best level often enough.

But we did see his quality here and there, and he will still be missed as someone who had the potential to turn a game.

Pablo Sarabia for Wolves (January 2023-present)
Appearances – 77
Goals – 8
Assists – 12

We especially saw in the final weeks of the 2024/25 season what he is capable of – his performance in the 2-1 comeback win against Ipswich Town was huge, and one that essentially sealed Wolves’ safety.

Hopefully he’ll enjoy his next chapter, and if it is Sevilla who sign him then they will be getting a top professional.
