Nuno Espirito Santo’s key desire as West Ham prepare offer for Wolves star Jorgen Strand Larsen

Wolves are set for a busy January and there has been plenty of talk about Jorgen Strand Larsen.

The striker has had a season to forget, having scored just one goal in the Premier League so far.

The Norway international has been a shadow of the player he was last season, although some factors have made his life much more difficult.

Fitness issues hampered him earlier in the season, and the loss of big-name players has also seen him starved of service at times.

As a result, there has been speculation about Jorgen Strand Larsen’s Wolves future.

Recently, it was claimed that West Ham United held an interest in Strand Larsen, with Everton also keen.

Wolves are said to value Strand Larsen at around £40 million – and now there is an update on the Wanderers number nine.

Some Wolves fans think Strand Larsen should be sold in January.

A sale would help Wolves to boost their transfer kitty, which can then be used to instigate a bit of a rebuild.

It remains to be seen though if any side would be willing to go near the asking price.

According to the Guardian, West Ham are definitely preparing an offer to present to Wolves for Strand Larsen.

Will Wolves get £40m for Strand Larsen or is that wishful thinking? 👀

West Ham are also interested in Viktoria Plzen striker Rafiu Durosinmi, who would likely come a lot cheaper than £40 million.

But Nuno Espirito Santo is said to favour signing a player with Premier League experience, with the Irons obviously battling against relegation right now.

So it seems the Hammers could make a real fist of trying to lure Strand Larsen to the London Stadium.

Wolves should put faith in Tolu Arokodare

So West Ham are ready to make their first offer for Strand Larsen, and it remains to be seen if it’ll be anywhere near £40 million.

Considering the season Strand Larsen has had, it would be a real surprise if it was near to the asking price.

But seemingly Nuno is keen to get someone in who knows the league.

Yes, Strand Larsen has struggled a lot this season. But he scored 14 goals in the top flight last season and is capable at this level when he has the right service.

In recent weeks, Tolu Arokodare has started to show a bit more in a Wolves shirt and one suspects he’ll keep improving the more he plays.

The club should trust that he will come good, and look to move Strand Larsen on to help with the rebuild.
