Wolves fans never got to see Noha Lemina in first-team action – and now the youngster is set to seal a somewhat surprising new move.
The younger brother of Mario Lemina was signed by Wanderers in January 2024. He was the only incoming of the month.
Noha had endured a tough 2023/24 season up to that point, making just one cameo appearance for Italian club Sampdoria.
Wolves made their move for him, bringing the teenager to Molineux on loan from Paris Saint-Germain. This followed a very tough time for the family, after the passing of Mario Lemina Sr.
Fans were excited to potentially get to see Noha playing in the same team as his older brother. But that moment never came, and it was recently decided that Wolves would not be signing the youngster permanently.
Now, Noha is making an interesting next move from PSG.
Noha Lemina lined up to join Ligue 2 outfit after failed Wolves stint

When Wolves signed Noha from PSG, Gary O’Neil was excited.
He said of the player at the time of his arrival: “He’s an exciting young talent. Maybe he’s not expected to impact the first-team group instantly, but that doesn’t mean that he won’t because he has some fantastic attributes.
“He’s powerful, fast, and a good lad who is willing to work hard. He has Mario here to help him settle as well.
“It’s a good one for the club as he has the potential to progress into an extremely talented player. Who knows, if he’s able to settle in quickly and impact things fast, we may be able to see him around some first team games.”
Noha was never going to feature in the first-team straight away. But there was a hope that he could get some minutes towards the end of the campaign after finding his feet with the U21s.
Sadly though, Noha just didn’t show enough to warrant that chance. Journalist Liam Keen dropped an honest verdict on him in April, suggesting that he was still extremely raw and that he felt he would struggle to get a first-team opportunity.
Noha made O’Neil’s first-team bench a few times, but never made an appearance. And recently, it was decided that Wolves would not be taking up their option to buy the player. The club have stopped short of making an official communication about it though.
Now, L’Equipe have reported that Noha is set to join Ligue 2 FC Annecy.
FC Annecy move for Noha is very telling
It is quite fascinating to see Noha making a move to FC Annecy, and it is also rather telling.
O’Neil was really excited about the capture of Noha from PSG in January, and genuinely felt the youngster had serious potential.
But he did not live up to expectations and seemingly struggled to adapt to life in England.
He is now going to join a team in Ligue 2, which is an indicator of where he’s at right now in terms of his level. This move strongly suggests that he was some way off actually getting a first-team chance at Wolves.
He did make the bench a few times under O’Neil, but seemingly this was only because of injuries to key players.
Hopefully, Noha can go there and shine, and play at a higher level in 2025/26.
