Nelson Semedo is set to join a new club, after announcing his exit from Wolves today.
Fans had been on tenterhooks in the weeks after the 2024/25 season ended.
Semedo had a four-year contract offer on the table from Wolves, and they had really wanted him to stick around.
But there has beeen a growing feeling in the last few weeks that Nelson Semedo would not be signing that extension offer.
And earlier today, Semedo informed fans that he definitely has left Wolves.
Earlier today, Fabrizio Romano reported Semedo had been approached by clubs in Turkey – and one appears to have now won the race.
Nelson Semedo set to join Fenerbahce after announcing Wolves exit

Romano has now followed up that update from earlier tonight, to report that Semedo is now set to join Fenerbahce.
He said: “Nelson Semedo to Fenerbahçe, here we go! Portuguese fullback is now travelling to Istanbul.
“Deal done as he will be surprise signing with Škriniar wanted by Fenerbahçe director Devin Özek.”
Semedo had previously been linked with Fenerbahce’s rivals Besiktas.
But it appears he is now all set to complete a move to the 19-time league champions.
The move could see Semedo play in the Champions League in 2025/26 – currently, Fenerbahce face Feyenoord in the third qualifying round.
Wolves must respond rapidly after Semedo’s official decision
It is unclear at what point exactly Wolves knew that Semedo wasn’t signing the contract extension.
The recent push by Wolves to sign Marc Pubill suggests it was probably a little while ago.
But now there is no more uncertainty – Semedo has left, and is set to join Fenerbahce, which is an intriguing move for the 31-year-old.
Wolves now have to respond rapidly, with the new season just a few weeks away.
At the moment, it is looking like Ki-Jana Hoever might actually be in contention to start for Wolves against Manchester City.
