Wolves announce Deadline Day signing of Andre from Fluminense

Andre leaves Fluminense having secured 197 appearances for the Brazilian side, whom he won the Copa Libertadores with in 2023.

Commenting on the transfer on Wolves’ official website, sporting director Hobbs admitted that the deal felt like it had been a ‘long time in the making’.

“It feels like a long time in the making. He’s got the same agent as Joao Gomes and is a player we talked about when we did Joao.

“We hadn’t been in a financial position in other windows to do it, when we were interested. It’s one that I thought we were going to miss out on, so I’m unbelievably excited to have him come and join us.”

Andre has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs, including the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal, as per 90min.

It is however Wolves who have acquired the 23-year-old’s signature, as he embarks on a European adventure for the first time in his budding career.
