Wolves are working to make new signings, but have now been joined by Marseille in the hunt for one target.
Vitor Pereira has just one pre-season game left now, which takes place this Saturday against Celta Vigo.
Then, it’s a final week of training before Wolves host Manchester City in their first Premier League game of the season.
Currently, a lot of Wolves fans are nervous about the campaign ahead, with only three new arrivals at Molineux so far this summer.
But a host of players have been offloaded, and Pereira ideally needs at least three or four new faces.
Amine Adli has been on Wolves’ radar recently, but things have quietened down this week.
But now, there’s been an update.
Marseille join hunt for Wolves target Amine Adli, Mehdi Benatia could be key

According to L’Equipe, French giants Marseille have now entered the race to sign Adli.
It’s claimed they have ‘started discussions to find out the feasibility of a transfer of the Moroccan international’, and Marseille potentially have a trump card to play.
Their director of football is Medhi Benatia, a former Morocco international, is said to know Adli and his entourage well.
And interestingly, Benatia has already had an influence on Adli during his career, as he advised him to declare his allegiance to Morocco over France.
Wolves are thought to still be interested, and it was claimed recently that a concrete offer for Adli was made by the club, with Adli then asking Bayer Leverkusen executives to hold talks.
What Wolves transfer target Adli has said about his future
So that’s another club joining the race for Adli, who Leverkusen apparently want around £26 million for (via Bild), with West Ham United having also been linked.
It seems like it could be a question of when Adli leaves and not if, with the player recently talking about asking questions of himself.
He said: “Bayer is an exceptional club. But after four years and so many emotions, I think it’s normal to ask yourself questions about your future. To know what I want to do. Should I leave or not, discover something else? It’s legitimate to ask ourselves these questions, especially as we start a new cycle.

“What matters to me will be my use on the pitch. I want to play in my position again, whether on the right side or as a second striker. To have freedom, responsibilities, rhythm, to feel confidence.”
With Wolves losing Goncalo Guedes to Real Sociedad, there is scope for another new forward at Molineux.
But, potentially, the presence of Marseille is not good news for Wolves if they still hope to secure a deal for Adli.
