Wolves reportedly hold an interest in Wallace Yan of Flamengo, and there have been a couple of intriguing claims about the youngster this evening.
Wanderers fans are hoping to see more new faces come through the door after a couple of weeks of silence at Molineux.
After Fer Lopez signed from Celta Vigo, there have been no incomings to speak of for Wolves – and fans are starting to get a little frustrated.
Pre-season has now started, with some Wolves players returning to Compton Park. The team will then fly out to Portugal for a training camp.
But it is looking like Lopez will be the only new face to go to that camp.
Wallace Yan has been linked with Wolves, and some interesting claims have been made tonight about the exciting Brazilian.
Rumours of a Wolves agreement for Wallace Yan played down

Wolves were said to be scouting Wallace, who is one of the most exciting talents on the books at Flamengo right now.
He made a big impression recently at the Club World Cup, scoring against Chelsea and LAFC.
It was reported last week that Wolves were planning to make an offer for Wallace, although it was also suggested that Flamengo were looking to hand the player an improved contract with a higher release clause.
Tonight, there have been a couple of big claims about Wallace.
Firstly, the outlet Jornal Dos Sports reported there had been an agreement for Wolves to sign Wallace, with a post from their X account reading: “Flamengo and Wolverhampton reach agreement, and Wallace Yan will play in England!
“A product of the Nest and Flamengo’s top scorer in the Club World Cup, Wallace captivated fans and European clubs with his composure and personality. His performance in the World Cup was the key to sealing the deal with the English club and transferring to play in the Premier League.
“The player’s family are already working to sort out the paperwork to join him in this new challenge!”
But this has been played down by journalist Julio Miguel Neto, who says he has actually contacted the player’s entourage.
He said 102 minutes after the first claim: “Wallace Yan has not been sold to Wolverhampton. Despite interest from Wolverhampton, as we reported six days ago, the Flamengo striker Wallace Yan has not been sold to the English club, contrary to what was circulated on Monday morning. The information is not true. We checked directly with the player’s staff, who denied any agreement or finalised negotiation with the Premier League team.
“Wallace has a contract with Flamengo until 2027 and is, in fact, negotiating a contract renewal with a salary increase. The youngster continues to follow the training schedule set by the club, maintaining his focus on his development.
“Although an official offer may arrive, at the moment, no sale has been finalised. ‘Nothing has come to me, and as far as I know, nothing official has reached the club either’, said a member of the young striker’s staff.”
Wolves need to start getting busy, as Wallace Yan claims denied
So conflicting reports about Wallace, who has a £34 million release clause, and that will do little to improve the mood of many Wolves fans.
This time last year, Wolves had brought in three players: Rodrigo Gomes, Jorgen Strand Larsen and Pedro Lima.
So far only Lopez has come in, and that is a little disappointing.
That said, it is still early in the summer, and the newly formed recruitment group have time on their side.
But Pereira will want new faces in as quickly as possible, with the club about to go to Portugal for a training camp.
