Wolves are believed to have made contact in their pursuit of 19-year-old Lucas Beraldo of Sao Paulo ahead of a possible move.
Wolves have long held an interest in Lucas Beraldo going back to the summer when the 19-year-old Brazilian was tipped with a move to Molineux.
The talented defender was again mentioned as one continuing to attract the attention of Gary O’Neil’s side last month. Now however a further update has been provided which suggests that Wolves have already made contact.
Beraldo is currently playing for Sao Paulo in Brazil who will be welcoming the ever-increasing European interest in their prized asset.

Wolves make contact for Beraldo
According to Lance!, Wolves are joined by AS Monaco in being keen on Beraldo however the report doesn’t specify whether contact has been made with the club or player.
It isn’t known if Sao Paulo are ready or keen on selling Beraldo in January or next summer however given that contact is made, it’s difficult to see a deal being far off.
Beraldo himself will probably be keen on a move to Wolves given the Premier League represents the pinnacle of club football. But where would he fit into the Wolves team?
Where would Beraldo play for Wolves?
Beraldo is a left-footed centre-half which could see him perfect to slot into Wolves’ current back-three. Alongside Max Kilman and Craig Dawson, he will probably be competition for newly capped Portugal star Toti Gomes.
Beraldo certainly is a talent that Wolves would regret missing out on given Monac’s interest as they are notoriously good at developing and choosing excellent young talents.
How much will Beraldo cost?
If Wolves want to sign their man, it will probably be a costly deal given he has a contract until 2028 which includes a release clause worth roughly £52.5m.
The report adds that Sao Paulo has an ‘ambitious plan’ which could lead to the sale being the most expensive Brazilian defender ever.
But despite that, it is also claimed that the Brazilian side could settle for a fee of around £17.5m, a modest fee considering his ceiling is believed to be extremely high.
